Thinking you had a choice on things never spoken
I think I do it too except I don't think through
So I search and dig but I really don't have a clue
There are some things worse
Than finding you weren't first
But for me it's a real deal breaker
Try and live right before you meet your maker
I join one of your talks one day in a billion
I'm no sucker but I reserve my opinions
Pointless arguments that try to sound so brilliant
If I were not this way too I would call them ignorant
There are lots of ways to waste your time
Lacking vision and begging for a dime
Go your own way and you will still be sad
As I see it that's not even half as bad
Half right half wrong it makes no impression on me
If I were just a pawn I'd get down on my knees
I'm walking off alone and still feeling blue
Maybe I could look at it from the drifter's view
